Who we are

Basecamp Europe is a registered trading name of RPS Legal B.V.

Key points

Basecamp Europe provides software to help track relocation documents and residency/tax compliance — it is not legal, immigration, or tax advice, and using it does not guarantee any visa, permit, or citizenship outcome. You remain responsible for verifying your own compliance and for any official filing. Governing law: the Netherlands.

1. The service

Basecamp Europe provides a document checklist, document storage, and compliance tracking (Schengen, tax residency, Dutch naturalization absence rules) based on information you provide. Outputs are guidance only, generated from the rules and dates you enter — we do not verify your underlying documents' authenticity or your BRP registration status directly with any government system, and self-reported inputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. Basecamp Europe is not a law firm, immigration consultancy, or tax advisor, and nothing in the product constitutes legal, immigration, or tax advice.

2. Account registration

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

No misuse of the service, no attempts to access other users' data, no uploading of malware, no scraping outside documented means, no use of the service to facilitate fraud (including immigration fraud).

4. Subscriptions & payment

Free, Plus (€19/month or €190/year), Guided (€690 one-time), and Full-Service (quoted) plans as described on our pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices for future billing periods with notice.

5. Data & privacy

Governed by our Privacy Policy. You warrant you have lawful grounds to provide personal data about any household members you add, including any minors.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." We disclaim all warranties regarding immigration, tax, or legal outcomes. Compliance statuses shown are based on rules and dates you provide and are for guidance only — always verify anything consequential (a permit renewal, a naturalization application, a tax filing) with a qualified advisor or the relevant authority before relying on it. We do not warrant that using Basecamp Europe will result in a successful visa, permit, or citizenship application.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or loss arising from reliance on guidance without independent verification. Our aggregate liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of €100 or the fees you paid us in that period.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts for breach of these terms or non-payment. Your data is handled on termination per the Privacy Policy's retention terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands; the Dutch courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
